Description:

The Accounts Receivable JIB Analyst performs accounting analysis related to well operations, such as JIB review and A/R reconciliations. Responsibilities also include the calculation of CAPEX and NOP accruals, reconciliation of various accounts, reporting, GL analysis and special projects as needed.

I/E Technician

Description:

I/E Technicians work in the field and have extensive knowledge about and experience with end device transmitters such as pressure transmitters, tank level gauges, etc.  They will also be familiar with and able to configure RTUs and potentially PLCs.  Formal DC electronics theory training is highly preferable.  They must understand the relationship between Current, Voltage, and Resistance (Ohm’s Law).  I/E Technicians must have strong communication as well as leadership skills in order to interface with other employees and contract crews.

Daily activities of I/E Technicians will include troubleshooting SCADA equipment issues in the field, working with or running contract crews for installation on new locations, working with SCADA Analysts to ensure proper setup of devices in our SCADA Host system, and training of field personnel on proper usage of Field Automation.  It will be vital that I/E Technicians work closely with our centralized SCADA and Field Automation group in order to ensure everyone is on the same page and that standards are being set and met.  The I/E Technicians will also be responsible for Material Transfers and effectively maintaining proper inventory.

An entry level I/E Technician with no experience should have an associates level technical degree with extensive training in DC Electronics as well as training with end devices such as pressure and level transmitters.  Entry level I/E technicians should never be hired into a field unless there is a more experienced I/E Technician there to help them gain experience in the oil and gas field as well as specific experience with the type of transmitters we are using.

A mid-level I/E Technician is someone who has several years of experience in the field and preferably has an associates or greater in a related field with formal DC Electronics training.  These I/E Technicians will have strong leadership and communications skills.  They will be capable of running several install crews if needed, and they will also be able to troubleshoot almost any problems with field devices which are encountered.  They will also understand simple to moderate level complexity control schemas and be capable of configuring RTUs to implement them.

A senior level I/E Technician will have significant experience in the field.  Additionally they will have knowledge of wiring standards and NEC requirements for wiring in classified areas.  They will be able to understand and configure the most complex control schemas within RTUs or PLCs.  They must also be able to train less experienced technicians and crews in their area so that they will achieve the highest level and quality of work.

Measurement Analyst

Description:

Measurement Analysts are responsible for all things related to gas or liquids measurement.  They will work to set standards for our measurement technicians in the field as to calibration frequencies on gas orifice meters, ensure that we maintain a proper audit trail, and maintain our gas analysis for every meter.  They will run exception reports and verify that our meters are functioning properly to ensure that the data being sent to our production accounting system is accurate.  They will also perform volume recovery efforts when there are discrepancies between our check volumes and midstream delivery volumes.

Daily activities for Measurement Analysts will include interfacing with Measurement Technicians in the field.  They will check on any out of date calibrations or gas analysis in our system as well as discussing potential variances between sales and check meters.  They will also perform data scrubbing on meter data collected from the field.  They will also work with our SCADA Analysts to resolve any issues with missing data in the system or other technical issues which might arise.

Entry level Measurement Analysts should have a bachelor’s degree and exhibit strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.  They need to be comfortable working with various computer programs and working extensively with numbers.  They need to have strong communication skills in order to interface with field measurement technicians.

Mid-level Measurement Analysts should have a bachelor’s degree and several years of experience in the industry and field.  They will have a basic to intermediate level understanding of gas or liquid measurement principles.  They will also be somewhat familiar with oil and gas field operations.  These Measurement Analysts will be very familiar with the day to day responsibilities of the position.  They will be self-directed to a large extent, and they will have an eye for the big picture.  They may have some experience with Volume Recovery.
 
Senior level Measurement Analysts will have extensive experience in gas or liquid measurement and knowledge of oil and gas field operations.  They will have relevant experience with volume recovery as well as setting, implementing, and enforcing measurement standards throughout an organization.  Strong communication skills and a desire to share their experience with other members on the team will help to achieve a highly efficient and effective gas and liquid measurement program.

Description:

SCADA Analysts are the team members who are primarily responsible for maintaining and improving the SCADA Host System (Cygnet / Ignition).  They will have strong computer skills, software development skills, and database skills.  It is important that they possess the ability to attack and solve problems using critical thinking while designing solutions and system improvements with an understanding of the long term viability and effects that those changes will have on administrative efficiency.

Daily activities of SCADA Analysts will include adding new device installs to the system (System Administration) and making sure that everything is working with them (commissioning).  They will also be responsible for creating standards within the Host system and making sure that field technicians adhere to the standards set forth.  Lastly, they will be responsible for making enhancements to the system and analyzing / fixing any bugs which are reported (System Support).  This includes requested screen changes and implementation of new devices within the SCADA Host System.

An entry level SCADA Analyst with no experience should have very strong computer development level skills as well as strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.  An engineering or technical degree is preferred.  A non-technical candidate would need to have at least 2-3 years of SCADA experience and prove their knowledge at an interview for consideration.

A mid-level SCADA Analyst should have several (3-5) years of experience working with relevant SCADA host systems, strong database aptitude, and programming skills.  They must also have familiarity with field devices such as RTU’s or PLC’s and end devices such as pressure transmitters and level gauges.  These analysts will have the ability to approach more complex problems encountered with the Host System.

A Senior Analyst will have a very strong skill set and knowledgebase across the entire discipline.  They will help when needed on System Administration and System Support, but they will have a focus on team leadership and tackling the most difficult problems.  They will be largely tasked with project management and training of the less experienced staff as they run into problems which they cannot solve.

SCADA Coordinators have similar responsibilities to a foreman and supervisor.  Significant experience, knowledge, and leadership in the SCADA and Field Automation areas are pre-requisites for the position.  The ability to see the big picture, and enforce standards throughout the organization will help ensure success.

Description:

 

The Roustabout will supply equipment to rig floors as requested and provide assistance to oilfield personnel. Using hand and power tools, this position will be responsible for dismantling and repairing oil field machinery, boilers and steam engine parts. Other duties include keeping pipe deck and main deck areas clean, using hand and power wrenches and tongs to unscrew or tighten pipes, casing, tubing and pump rods, and walking flow lines to locate and repair leaks. When needed, the Roustabout will move pipes to and from trucks, bolt together pump and engine parts, guide cranes to move loads about decks, and dig drainage ditches around wells and storage tanks.
